I pledge allegiance,
To the flag
Of the United States of America
And to the Republic
For which it stands
With liberty and Justice for all
We all know it and can probably recite it by heart. “The Pledge of Allegiance,” is engraved in almost all every American above the age of five’s mind. Every day, kids all across America stand together and in the same monotone voice, recite the words like the mindless robots they have become. We have all been programmed to know the words and say them without any thought or emotion. We have been taught since kindergarten to stand stiff as a board, with our right hand over our heart, and tell the flag these random words we don’t understand. Looking in on it from the outside, it seems completely insane. More…
I love America, and so should you. Not because of the government, but because of the rich history and culture. The American Spirit is strong and glorious. The people of America are mighty and full of life. Culture. America has an immense amount of it.
From California to Kansas to New York, the people and souls are different. New York, for example, is known for its Italian based society, California for its beaches and hot summers, Kansas for countrysides and southern fire.
But what these each individual states all have in common is that they are all in the US. Yet they are all extremely different from one another. The culture of America as a whole is that people from all corners of the world can build a new life. More…

¨Would you like to buy a box of cookies?¨ asks millions of American Girl Scouts every day during cookie season. However, although seemingly innocent, Girl Scouts seem to have a hypocritical side.
Don´t get me wrong, I´m not saying that Girl Scouts are negative or anything. However, there are a few very exclusive things about Girl Scouts that makes it hard to wrap my head around.
That’s right. I´m talking about gender; the word that has quite possibly cut America in half. Girl Scouts, as said in the name, is a program for girls in which they participate in activities like camping, fundraising, and of course, cookie selling.More…
Let’s talk about ‘C’ students. They aren’t totally sold on the academic system. They don’t worship it, but they see a great deal of good that can come from it. They know that learning occurs in different ways than the system presents.
Our world has dramatically changed since the late 1800s. During that time, schools were designed to teach obedience. According to Lifehack.com, it states that by 2020, more than one billion people will be working from their homes.
This works for ‘C’ students. ‘C’ students usually think for themselves and make up their own agenda without having someone else tell them how to live their lives. ‘C’ students don’t spend enormous amounts of energy trying to impress their superiors. Instead, they are more strategic about how they spend their time. More…
There is something that the world has been steaming about in controversy recently. That’s right, I´m talking about global warming.
Now, President Trump has been quoted multiple times on saying ¨global warming is a fraud.¨ I would like to ask, well, how? Trump claims that scientists are lying about this to gain political interest. However, I would like to ask, how is this fake?:
This is a prime example of indirect animal cruelty. The people who have sponsored Trump’s for presidency support this. They support deaths of countless numbers of animals living at the poles.
The whimsically childish, funny, and entertaining sponge that many of us grew up with was once one of the best children’s shows on the air. It had both dumb and childish humor for young kids, more clever humor for whatever older kids were watching, and some adult type humor that goes completely over kid’s heads. It really was the perfect recipe for a wonderful, enjoyable show.
However, I can’t say the same for recent episodes. Spongebob has gone seriously downhill.
For one, all the characters have changed incredibly. It’s like the writers forgot who they are supposed to be. Squidward, for instance, is supposed to be a grump. You’re not supposed to like him at all. And he’s supposed to hate Spongebob and Patrick. But more recently, Squidward has actually been nice to them. Apparently, he even helps Patrick run a lemonade stand. What even happened there? More…

Girls Inc. is an organization that focuses on empowering women. Is it necessary? Yes. Woman around the world are discriminated against and are treated unequally. (Response to “Is it Necessary to have a club about Women Empowerment”)
In the counter-argument article, it states that Girls Inc. is a “frivolous program” and insists empowering women is unneeded. This is ridiculous. The first half of the article is about how women should suck it up because “it’s a cutthroat world.” This world already has cruel things occurring, we don’t need more. The author of the opposing article, states, “It’s a cut-throat world and the no one should ever be given special help because they feel bad.” If girls feel bad, we should not say it doesn’t matter, we should help them to make the world peaceful not cutthroat.
Does the phrase, “Focusing on the whole girl” seem ethical and unjust? No, so why was it stated that “This entails only what can be assumed as the notion of girls not being whole in this society.” Now, this is absurd. “Focusing on the Whole Girl” means that they want women to find who they are, their strengths, passions, and feelings. This phrase does not mean that girls are not whole in this society. More…
It’s time to open up about this situation. Many people hated this year’s YouTube Rewind. Those who don’t believe this then, look at how many dislikes it has, about 15 million dislikes. That breaks the record for the most disliked video which previously was “Baby” by Justin Bieber with 9.8 million dislikes.
To start, it’s missing all kinds of big events that happened this year. First, why is there no PewDiePie? About everyone should know what happened to PewDiePie, his battle with T-Series is still going on and yet he isn’t in the video?
There have been so many articles and videos that have talked about this fight between these two channels. Many YouTubers such as Mr. Beast are trying their best to help Pewdiepie get the upper hand. One hacker has killed two birds with one stone which was helped Pewdiepie and raising awareness for printer safety. Not putting Pewdiepie in there was a bad mistake.More…
Ah yes, nothing like a cup of joe with unhealthy amounts of sugar, chocolate, whipped cream, and high fructose corn syrup. Women often wonder why they are fat. It may be because they have a cup of diabetes in their hand.
Now people may say “NO NO, I have tea, therefore, it’s healthy.” While people may be right, you forget that little Tombutu in Guatemala is harvesting the leaves for your Starblast tea. The main point is that it’s unhealthy and overall not worth people’s hard earned cash to buy an overrated drink.
Money, something that everyone desires. A crucial part of everyone’s life. But why spend so much of it on some cup of caffeine? That’s a good question. Also, a question that can’t often be answered. One could ask one of the average customers that participate in the act of buying the science experiment that is a Starbuck’s product. More…
School, school, school. We all have to endure that obstacle in life. Many students are fascinated by the topic and love their schools. However, some would consider eating a spoonful of salt rather than going to school.
Of course, school is all about language arts, math, social studies, science, and whatever other academic classes there are, there’s one more period of each student’s choice that everyone loves. That’s right, your elective!
There are so many electives at Stacey, from Broadcast Journalism to Marine Biology. However, there’s one more thing that the district throws in your face. The numbers on your report card, otherwise known as GPA. If the district doesn´t like your GPA, they get to take away a fundamental right, your chosen elective, that ever Stacey student should have.
