Leadership was holding their very first Spring Fling, and Stacey apparently wasn’t buzzing with excitement.
The leadership classroom had planned a Spring Fling, but it was entirely different from the “pictured” Spring Fling in the classic Mean Girls movie. Stacey’s Spring Fling would not be a dance but would be more similar to a fall fest. There would’ve been barbeque, music, and games.
“I’m really excited for it,” said eighth-grader Aiyanna Dejacimo before the event was canceled. “I’m looking forward to just hanging out with friends after school.”
Tickets for the event were originally priced at $3 with ASB and $4 without. Tickets included a free hotdog and 5 game tickets. They were available for purchase before and during lunch before the event.
Sadly, the event was canceled because of the lack of tickets sold. While most students weren’t bothered because they weren’t planning on attending, the 32 kids who bought a ticket are bummed. Luckily, they were all refunded.
I wanted the free hotdog that was included. I was bummed. 😦

lol, it was worth every penny just for the hot dog. But, technically the dog was not ¨free¨ if you paid for a ticket…
