Nintendo has made two consoles of the twenty-first century that exploded the stores with people rushing in to buy them. One of the consoles is from June 2010, while the other was released in March 2017. What is it? The Nintendo 3DS and the Switch of course! Lots of people say one is better, but others disagree. So which one is better: the Switch or the 3DS?
The 3DS is smaller than the Switch. Its ability to change to the third dimension is what really makes the 3DS enjoyable for all ages.
The Nintendo 3DS was first introduced in February 2011, and it was a successor after Nintendo 2DS and Nintendo 3DS XL. There are some accessories people can use to help visual gameplay or to have a bigger memory to store more games.
Matt Weinberger, a tech reporter, states, “But while the Nintendo Switch is super-great, I’d urge you to at least think twice about picking one up this holiday shopping season. While all eyes are on the Switch, the 6-year-old Nintendo 3DS has quietly become one of the best deals in video-game history. You can get started with the Nintendo 3DS for a lot less than the Switch, and play some of the very best games of this or any other generation.” He says that the 3DS is getting more popular without anyone realizing.
The Switch, however, is bigger than the 3DS by a lot. It can’t switch into 3D without using accessories, but the library is much bigger since you buy the games from a virtual shop instead of buying them physically. It has sold about ten million units. There are more accessories to buy, such as the pro controller or getting a case to protect your switch.
One reason people buy it is that it is compatible with more than one person on a single switch.
Gavin Mercado says, “The Switch is better because more people can play on the Switch.” So, more people in a unit equals more time to play with others.
From changing to 3D mode to having more than one person play on one device, the 3DS and switch have its differences. Which one is better?
