What even is Builders Club?

Builders Club is a new club here at Stacey, and it is a student-led service organization. Ms. Walters decided to advise Builders Club because it is similar to clubs you may participate in later on in High School such as Kiwins, and Key Club. These can be joined by students that attend Marina High School. If attending another high school, check the online website of that school for the clubs that they have listed and provided, depending on the high school or college you are attending.

Builders Club gives students the opportunity to develop leadership and character through community service. In this club, you may help out around the community, clean up around the campus, prepare for your transition to high school with familiar and welcoming faces, build friendships, and meet people from a sponsoring high school club.

Will this club help me get into college?

Yes, Builders Club looks great on college applications. Colleges look for students who do things above and beyond just academics. Anything you can put on a college application that shows that you were involved in community service makes you look good. Clubs like Builders Club, Kiwins, and Key Club show that you are into your community and that is a way to distinguish yourself from other students, and it will make you look better rounded and stand out.
