Attention Stacey Middle School students. The end of the first trimester is quickly approaching, and trimester two will be here in a flash. In the upcoming week, trimester one will be officially gone.

To ensure that students will get good grades on their report cards, they should check Jupiter Ed frequently, turn in all missing assignments if still possible, and ask teachers for extra credit assignments if possible to add points to your grades.

Most teachers offer special assignments students can complete to earn extra credit points which are then added to their final grade. In the end, it ends up making a great impact, especially for the students in eighth grade.

Eighth grade is an important year and the grades students earn in eighth grade affect their high school schedules, which, of course, affect their chances of being accepted into the college of their dreams.

Colleges look for students who have good grades and are involved in extracurricular activities.

As trimester two is quickly approaching, think of stopping by Mrs. Gates class and asking about joining NJHS. This is a service club students should definitely consider participating in for the second and third trimester to make an impact on their college applications.

Another good club to join is Builders Club. Builders Club is held in room B3 and Mrs. Walters is the supervising teacher, but it is student lead. If interested in Builders Club, go check out one of our recent articles containing information on this club, “What Even Is Builder’s Club”, written by Averi Farren.

Overall, middle school is an important three years of your school life. Middle school will prepare you for high school, which greatly affects your college applications. It is highly recommended that you set yourself up for success and work hard to earn a good report card.
