Reduce, Reuse, Recycle 2

Averi Farren

Litter is harmful to the environment and should be taken into consideration. Once school is let out, lots of students go over to the park to hang out while they wait for their parents to come get them.

Since the park is not owned by the school, staff can’t control what students do, and it’s up to each individual to decide whether they make the right choice or not. Since the mass amounts of students crowding the park every day the amount of trash and litter around the park is insanely high.

Throwing away trash and recycling is crucial as waste has a negative impact on the natural environment. Harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses are released from rubbish in landfill sites. Recycling and throwing away trash helps to reduce the pollution caused by waste.

Recycling reduces the need for raw materials so that the rainforests can be preserved. Throwing away your trash will cut down the amount of animal harming debris and give us back a clean, beautiful park.

Please watch what is thrown on the ground everyday and maybe next time you’ll do the right thing and walk over to the trashcan to throw it away.
