Musical Mondays: Christmas Edition 4

Delaney Powell and Justin Pham

According to Billboard Top 100, this is the hot top ten Christmas Songs of the Holiday Season!

Tenth place: “Last Christmas” by Wham!. This song came out in 2005 and has only gained popularity since then.

Number nine is “Mary Did You Know” by Pentatonix. Last week, this song was 13th place, and since then, it had gone up 4 places!

In eighth place:  “Feliz Navidad” by Jose Feliciano. This classic has me doubting that it will go down in the charts.

Number seven: “ A Holly Jolly Christmas” by Burl Ives. This song is a classic! Its peak position is 4th place, and hopefully, it will come back up in the future.

Number six is: “The Christmas Song” by Nat King Cole. This song has been gaining performance since 1945 after it’s release!

Number five is: “The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year” by Andy Williams. This song’s peak position is 5th place, meaning it’s still maintaining its place!

For number four we have, “Halleluja” by Pentatonix. Pentatonix is a great acapella band who sings all around the world, last year they even beat Mariah Carey in the Christmas song battle by taking the number one spot with their song, ‘Mary Did You Know’.

Number three is: “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee. Another amazing classic. This song’s peak position has been 2nd place, so it hasn’t moved very much.

In second place we have, “Jingle Bell Rock” by Bobby Helms. It’s time to pull out your Mean Girls Christmas outfits and start dancing to this classic. YOU GO GLENN COCO!

Finally, “All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey. Talk about a great song! Mariah really outdid herself with this happy and bubbly song, so there is no reason why this song shouldn’t be in first place!
