Target is a well-known store for everyday items and fun Halloween costumes.

In recent months, there have been creepy clown sightings of costumed men behaving irrationally. Since the latest reports, clown masks and costumes are not being sold at the retailer anymore.

“Given the current environment,” says Target spokesman Joshua Thomas. “We have made the decision to remove a variety of clown masks from our assortment, both in stores and online.”

On Target.com it does shows a clown costume for sale, but it’s not “creepy.”              

Public schools have been banning any clown costumes and any other “symbol of terror.”

Most feel the clowns are taking it too far, and this is where it has led.
