Music has no limits, so the powers that be at Stacey decided to open a guitar class this year as a new elective. It takes place during 8th period with Mr. Woodruff. Currently, there are twenty-four students who take this class

Last year, students in band were able to apply for guitar. Mr. Woodruff stated, “I took kids to help build upon their talents in a different venue because band class is a group activity where you play with your friends to make the product whole.” From this class, the students will be able to build on what they learn and play different genres of music. Mr. Woodruff is a well-known and well-liked teacher at Stacey Middle School. He teaches the band program to our devoted musicians.

I decided to sit down with him and ask him a quite a few questions to get to know more about him and the band program.

Beware: This might take a while since Mr. Woodruff was gracious enough to grant me a 20-minute interview. Thank you, Mr. Woodruff.

Horrible Homework 2

Destiney Hagberg

As kids get older and go through school, we begin to mourn the death of our free time due to the amount of homework we receive and all the long nights we stay up to finish everything. As the weeks continue, we then wake up early the next day to repeat the cycle all over again. Homework shouldn’t take up our whole day after school; it should only be some practice. More…

Back to the 80’s Reply

Stacey is going back to the 80’s on the 21st of March.

Leadership  chose this spirit day theme because March 21st is the 80th day of 2016.

Back in the 80’s, the trend was to wear neon colors. So on the 21st all students should wear bright and vibrant clothes.

When we asked Maddy Lane, 8th grader, what the first word that came to mind when she thought of the 80’s decade, she said, “I think of neon.”

Support Stacey Middle School by showing your spirit, and don’t forget the leg warmers.

The winner of last week was the Shruggy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Today’s topic of debate is which shoe is more favorable: Converse or Vans.
