On December 18, 2015, a few days from now, the long awaited Episode VII (7) of the Star Wars saga will be released into theaters. This movie will be titled The Force Awakens.

Many die-hard fans will be attending the midnight premiere on Friday. A large amount will dress up as characters from the franchise, such as the iconic Stormtrooper, Jedi Knights, Sith Lords, or as the helpful droids.

Harrison Ford, the star from the original trilogy, Episode IV: A New Hope, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, will be reprising his role of the galactic hero Han Solo with his Wookiee sidekick, Chewbacca.

With new movies come new characters. This movie features a variety of new characters, such as Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, and Finn, played by John Boyega. There is also a mysterious new Sith Lord Kylo Ren and the Chrome Trooper.

Kylo Ren, a masked Sith lord who is out to kill, is the basis of many theories revolving around the movie before its release. Many fans speculate that the Jedi from episodes 4-6, Luke Skywalker, is the new masked man; others say it is Jar Jar Binks, and a widely hated character may be the new villain.

But regardless of who may be who, this movie is sure to attract the attention and love of many who cherished the prequels, originals, or those who have just discovered the iconic franchise.

  1. In correction (I have no doubt that you attempted to gain the name of the chrome trooper,) her name is captain Phasma. I have done a lot of research, and have discovered that this movie (and the ones to come) was not based upon any particular story, as George Lucas sold the rights (to many’s dismay) to Disney. The story was a combination of many (I am not going to spoil anything, sorry, you can see the movie yourself,) different lines of star wars, from the comic books of today to the books published not long after the movies.
On to the fact of Disney (the bane to my existence, ever since they completely ruined my life with the Percy Jackson movies. Cough.), Disney had decided to write their own stories for this new Star Wars trilogy of which they are about to release, although I can happily say (for now) that I am not disappointed.

  2. Hello Jalon, it’s me, the author of this article 🙂 I thank you for your corrections. At the time that this was posted, the information had not yet been released. 🙂

  3. no prob. I understand completely that this article was written (or wrote? is there such a word as writ?) before the movie was released (at least to the public)
