News has broken out and Disney has plans to revamp some of their originals. Many Disney movies will be returning but this time with a twist. The animations of various classics will be saying goodbye and live action will be replacing them.

One movie that will be remade will be The Jungle Book. Mowgli will be played by Neel Sethi, Baloo by Bill Murray, and Kaa by Scarlett Johanssen. The director of this movie is Jon Favreau, who has directed other favorites such as Elf and Iron Man.

This movie is still based off the original book, The Jungle Book, by author Rudyard Kipling. The release date will be on April 15, 2016.

Another movie that will be back is another beloved Alice in Wonderland, but with a clever twist. This movie will be called Alice Through the Looking Glass. It is based off of Lewis Carroll’s sequel to his original novel.

The cast of the original live action Alice in Wonderland will remain the same. Alice is played by Mia Wasikowska, the Mad Hatter will be played by Johnny Depp, the Queen of Hearts by Helena Bonham Carter, and a new addition to the cast will be Sacha Baron Cohen, who is playing Time. The director of this movie is James Bobin and it will be released on May 27, 2016.

Yet another movie has caught the attention of Disney fans, Beauty and the Beast. The iconic Belle will be played by actress Emma Watson. Other additions to the notorious movie will be Dan Stevens, who is playing Beast, Luke Evans, who is playing Gaston, and Ewan Mcgregor who is playing Lumiere. The director of this movie is Bill Condon and it will be coming out on March 17, 2017.

Disney will also be taking things under the sea. The Little Mermaid will be jumping aboard this live action bandwagon. There is still little news on this movie, but Chloe Moretz will be taking on the role of Ariel after Sophia Coppola dropped out.

Much is in store for Disney in the next years. Classics with many unsuspected turns will be back soon. Disney has done it yet again! 🌟
