As all students should know, Wednesday will be taken off of our school day for Veteran’s Day. Many may think of this day as a free break, but for others, a day to respect loved ones and more.
Today, a five minute charity blast took place in each of the homerooms. In total, Stacey planned to hit $862 of donations. All students have been asked to bring one dollar to donate to Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
After homeroom, $402 was collected, just over half of the goal.
Students donated for a variety of reasons. Deanna Long, a seventh grader said, “They asked for the money, and I had $2 and handed it over.”
Hung Trinh, another seventh grader had other reasons for giving. “I wanted to give back to those that have given to our country.”
Whatever the reason Stacey students had for giving, thanks!
