Mrs. Valverde created a new dance club this year that gives students at Stacey Middle School a chance to dance. Participants in the dance club have been practicing outside Mrs.Valverde’s classroom since October 5th.
Mrs. Valverde and her ten students are very excited to perform their new piece at Dark Fest. They are currently rehearsing to the song, “Thriller” by Micheal Jackson for their performance.
Seventh grader Rachel Ravsten of the Stacey Dance Club said, “I have a really good dance instructor.” Rachel also says she “loves” the club because she was introduced to a lot of nice people there.
The dance crew begin their practice by stretching first. After that, they review what they had done at the last rehearsal. Once they finish reviewing, Mrs. Valverde then adds new dance moves to the piece. Mrs. Valverde said, “We plan just to have fun and make students lead the club dance. We are excited to see our dance family come together!”
